Seven Critical Issues the Leadership of the Church Must Address Before the Kingdom Comes
Senior Chief Apostle Dr. John Neuhaus · May 18, 2026
1 Chronicles 15:13 — "It was because you Levites did not bear the Ark (on your shoulders) the first time the Lord our God broke out against us because we did not consult him concerning the proper order."
When men are building God's house, we often do things without consulting the Lord — such as God's people building a new cart and putting the Ark of God in the back of a wagon, not the Lord leading the people, but the people leading the Lord. When leaders do not consult the Lord concerning the building of his house in this day and what the Lord requires, the spiritual house ends up with many errors, many fabrications, and many man-centered doctrines that have caused many to fall into error. Also, many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world without accountability, without transparency, and without a good report from seasoned and qualified ministers.
1. There are many critical issues that must be addressed by church leadership, and one is the lack of following divine order and legal operations approved by the Lord and not by men — the failure to follow the Lord after the due order and proper protocols that are required if we are to walk and operate as kingdom saints. One could say it is essential and strictly required to do church the way the Lord commands it to be done, especially when the Lord is actively setting up and organizing his government before he returns. The operation of the kingdom age is much different than the age of Grace. The kingdom comes with new operations and new leadership, even as the age of grace came with new leadership and different operations than what was done under the law, which in reality was a temporary priesthood. When orders to move forward are released by the Lord, it is always a major transition, and not everybody has the will and courage to transition and move from the old to the new. For this reason, many become stuck in an age that the Lord had already moved on from. And this time we are in a great transition as the church moves from grace to Kingdom. Even as we had to learn grace, we now will be required to learn the operations of the kingdom and seek out a priesthood that is shouldering the government of God in this hour, for the government will be upon his shoulder to order it and to establish it.
As the physical kingdom of Christ draws nearer, there will be a prequalified company in the earth with a functioning high Priestly ministry in full operation, with a mature unity that all will flow with and follow — this heavenly minded company that goes before us.
Whether the present church leadership recognizes it now or not, if they want to walk in divine order and enter the kingdom age, they will have to follow a prequalified mature leadership appointed by the Lord for this hour. This will include the 144,000 that appear with the Lord on Mount Zion — the place of kingdom rule and kingdom authority — a company of overcomers with the Father's name printed on their forehead, a company that operates with the mind of Christ, with which they will rule the nations with a rod of iron (unbending rule).
Revelation 2:26-27 — "The one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations; that one will rule the nations with an iron scepter, and will dash them in pieces like pottery — just as I have received authority from my Father."
In this hour, as the kingdom of Christ draws near, all that hear the call to prepare the way of the Lord and make his paths straight should seek to discover the old paths, and will hear a voice behind them saying, "This is the way, walk ye in it." All true worshipers that will prepare for kingdom living and walk in the paths of righteousness will experience and see earthly mindsets and snares broken, and their souls being restored with a kingdom confidence and a kingdom assurance that will light their way through the darkness of this world — causing them to hear from the Lord himself, "Come, you righteous, this is the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
Isaiah 2:3 — "And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law (Torah), and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."
This High Priestly ministry and company of overcomers is even now being formed in the earth, and as the Lord sets up and arranges his kingdom, he will order it and establish it.
A Kingdom Revelation is being released with all its operations, and like the revelation of grace, it has been a mystery hidden from the ages — a mystery that must be learned and deciphered from those that have been granted and given to understand the mysteries of the kingdom (Luke 8:10). For many — even most, including leaders — receiving a revelation of the kingdom and its operations is unfamiliar territory, because it is a way we have never been before. The only way we will know is if we follow a priesthood that is shouldering kingdom government, appointed to lead the true church into the next age, along with all those that will prepare themselves to see his face and transition the age of Grace — who are willing to hear his sent messengers, embrace change, and will move into this third day that is now upon us. A people who will be forever blessed as they see the Lord face to face.
For the last 2,000 years, many have learned grace and comprehended the Pentecostal outpouring, revealing the planting of this kingdom in the hearts of men — that for the last 2,000 years has spread throughout the nations and even to the ends of the earth. Yet even in this hour, few understand the operations of the kingdom age and the feast of Tabernacles, a place where his Saints will dwell with the Lord and he will dwell with them and with the people that love him and love his appearing.
Just as the first appointed apostles laid the foundation of the Pentecostal age — the age of Grace — so too a company of chosen and appointed vessels in this time are laying the foundations of the kingdom age and how it will operate for the next thousand years. As we have learned grace, we must also learn by instruction and revelation the kingdom of God and its operations (Matthew 23:52). In this time, very few are speaking or teaching divine principles concerning the order of his kingdom. As Grace came by Revelation to his apostles, so too the kingdom will come by revelation and by his sent prophets and messengers.
A revelation contains and reveals things we have not heard before — things and experiences we as a people have not walked in before. So when God does a new thing, we must sharpen our spiritual senses and discern it.
Isaiah 43:18-19 — "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Shall you not know it and discern it?" When God does a new thing, it springs forth — it comes quickly. It often comes out of the desert and from places only a few are looking. It comes to those who seek the Lord with their whole hearts, and they shall find.
The Lord told David, who wanted to build a house for the Lord, that He would raise up his seed after him in every generation and build him a sure house that the Lord established and would last forever.
Isaiah 9:7 — "Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this."
In the body of Christ, there is a severe lack of a true governmental structure that needs to be addressed and taught to the unlearned. The first thing that we can do as his people is to not think that we have arrived or that we fully understand the Lord's ways, especially when you're dealing with the wisdom of the ages. Often times the Lord hides things until the appointed time that it is to be revealed. Many in this day will be in the valley of decision and in a crossfire between two ages. If those that read these posts and will follow on to know will see a greater picture — like pieces of a puzzle that fit together.
I will be sharing on the seven weaknesses and the things that are lacking in modern day church systems as the remnant prepares to pass over into the new age in the new day.
The Lord has graced me with a word to his leadership that I hope all can hear, especially those that have an ear to hear the wisdom of God.
I will be posting every week. For those that want to follow, please forward these posts and send your comments and your questions. You can see my live broadcasts Thursdays 11 AM EST — recordings on my website johnneuhaus.com and also @kingdommessage1795.
